Lake Atitlán is a lake in the Guatemalan Highlands of the Sierra Madre mountain range. It is in the Sololá Department of southwestern Guatemala. It is the deepest lake in Central America.

Having just dropped my last travel buddy off I headed back to Lake Atitlan and found an incredible spot to camp right next to the lake. - As the sun dips below the horizon and falls behind the volcanoes, the hustle and bustle of the city quiets... and the waters calm. I love me a good ol' sunset. This is Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. I've never been to a place that felt so adventurous and relaxing at the same time. You can go for hikes, wander the cities, or stroll and enjoy calm moments like these. Perfection.
